This is pretty much all I've been working on.
It's a fun knit, you knit the squares, then you pick up and knit the side triangles. I chose to make the side triangles match one another so it wouldn't be too helter-skelter. The matching side triangles give it an intriguing hourglass motif.
And thanks to my friend Melissa for this cartoon:
Don't forget to stop by Andrea's and check out all the FAF blogs!
Haha, that cartoon is hilarious! My daughter loves her Cooking Mama Nintendo games and she will show me her weaving or knitting and I'm like, "Seriously?"
ReplyDeleteThe mitered squares are beautiful.
The mitered squares remind me of that folded paper game we all played as middle-school girls... the one where you put it on your forefinger and thumbs and choose numbers to get your fortune. ;-)
ReplyDeletePretty colors from my favorite palette. So glad to see you back this week!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Andrea - that cartoon is hysterical. :)
ReplyDeleteAlso love the purple - woot!
Super cute scarf. I've attempted mitred squares a couple of times without success. I'll have to give it a try again. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute 'quilted' knitting project! I learn so much about knitting from your posts!
ReplyDeleteToo funny! I love the scarf... I have just started my very first shawl and can't keep my hands away from the needles.
