I've Lost Track of the WIPs

Just to make it so I have to count them up on BOTH hands, I've added another WIP.

The Drop Stitch Scarf, free pattern on Ravelry.

Yarn is The Alpaca Yarn Company's Classic Alpaca, purchased at Shepherd's Purse Alpaca in Mt. Airy, MD.

This is the scarf pattern that looks like angry eyes.

And, thanks to the wonderful Andrea, I have two new colors for the Patchwork Baby Blanket I'm making.

These are the colors Andrea sent. I am madly in love with the variegated one, but you can't see it too well in this photo.

I've got three more squares to go! The other WIPs are languishing ... sadly languishing. My heart has grown cold to them, but perhaps one day ...

I leave you all with some boasting. I have lost 35 lbs, and can now run 5k in just over 38 minutes (last October, it took me over 44 minutes to run a Monster Dash 5k).

I have given away all of my clothing to the Salvation Army, and I am looking forward to buying new summer clothes.

(Ignore the messy room behind me, I've pretty much given it over to the cats).

Don't forget to stop by the lovely Andrea's, for Fiber Arts Friday Fun!

  1. One can never have too many wip's ;)
    Congratulations on your weight loss!!

  2. Hooray for the weight loss and the 5K training!
    You are an inspiration.

Those two new colors really helped POP those squares. I know, I love the variegated one too.

Your dropped stitch scarf is great too. I still get messed up when trying the "multi-level" YO. They end up being a mess when I knit the next row.

  3. I know what you mean...I have forbid myself to do any new crafts until I finsih all my WIP
WAY TO GO! What an insperation

  4. Congratulations on the weight loss! For the first time ever I'm actually sticking to a diet and I'm down 15lbs. You're an inspiration!

  5. 35lbs, wow! That's incredible accomplishment. I'm still working on the 5lbs that keeps coming back.

The drop stitch scarf looks great. I never noticed the angry eyes until you mentioned, and now they sure look like angry eyes.

  6. Losing 35lbs is great! And improving your time on the 5k is equally awesome! Keep at it! Warm up to the WiPs and throw those pants away!

  7. Yes lady, you are an inspiration! Great job on the new healthy, 5K running you!

I love that pattern and have knit it too, you picked a pretty color.

  8. LOL... Angry Eyes!!

You rock those pants! :-) Congratulations on the loss and speedy-ness. :-)

  9. That's a very nice scarf, I really like the color. Congrats on your weight loss and the running accomplishment. I'm taking my shoes to work with me tomorrow and I WILL walk before I start my work day...gotta start somewhere, right? I'm a long way from where I was 5 years ago and need to get back to it again. Thanks for the motivation. Have a great week.

I would love to hear from you!
