I Think I've Got It Now
I think I've figured out the secret to Gail Nightsongs.
Stitch markers. A lot of them.
I've just finished four rows of leaves. 7 rows appears to be the norm, and then there is an edging. If you are interested in seeing the other 3,500 or so Nightsong projects, the link is here. (Ravelry account needed, of course).
Persistence, stitch markers, and attention to detail. Here's hoping the rest goes well!
Don't forget to stop by Tamis Amis for Work in Progress Wednesday!

ReplyDeleteYey for stitch markers :)
That is going to be gorgeous! Yay for stitch markers! (think I could open a stitch marker only store from my car with all the ones that jump off my needles and fall between the seat and center console)
ReplyDeleteI can never have too many stitch markers. Never. :-D Fingers crossed things continue to go well. It looks lovely so far.
ReplyDeleteYour shawl is gorgeous! I love that color.
ReplyDeleteI admire you for using all those stitch markers! They would drive me crazy!
ReplyDeleteLove that shade of blue :)
The shawl is going to be stunning when it's completed, and you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you stuck at it! I hope the stitch markers do the trick - I think they're lifesavers sometimes :-)

ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous! It will be absolutely beautiful.
stitch markers - brilliant little things. I use them a lot for my yarn piskies or they can come out a very strange shape!!
I'm not too fond of lace knitting. I admire you! :-) Wow.
ReplyDeleteI have been admiring Nightsongs for a long time. Your's will be beautiful. And I am gratefull I haven't attempted it as my first lace knit after hearing your struggles with it.
