Once the baby blanket is done, I'm going to once again tackle the silk hankies I bought three years ago, and didn't do much with.
I'm not really feeling too crafty lately ... all my thoughts are of spring, and the garden I'm planning, but it's not time yet for that. I'm in Zone 7, so I can't really put anything in the ground till 1 May.
Something to look forward to; it's less than two months until the 41st annual MD Sheep and Wool fest! I blogged my visits in 2011, 2012, and 2013. I have so much fun at the festival, even if I don't buy anything (which never happens, really, but it's fun to think I might have that level of self-control).
I leave you with Edgar and his shoe fetish. He's not ashamed.
That is a really nice baby blanket. I admire your patience, especially since you've made 2!
ReplyDeleteI see you didn't love The Ginger Tree. That is one of my all-time favs!
Oh, I liked the Ginger Tree, it kept me up late reading! I don't give 4 or 5 stars to too many books, though. Are you on GoodReads?
DeleteThe blanket will be a beautiful gift and I can imagine the garden is on your mind. It is so nice to be outdoors when the weather makes it possible. Working with plants is very crafty too though?
ReplyDeleteI am halfway through a small blanket and wishing it were done! I don't have your level of dedication! My dogs love socks, to the point we usually have to watch our hampers because they sneak socks out of them! LOL
ReplyDeleteEdgar has nothing to be ashamed of. :-D Haha. The blanket looks like it's coming together nicely. It sounds like a lot of work to have so much seaming, but I bet having smaller components and different stitch patterns helps to keep this project fresh and interesting as you work through it.
ReplyDeleteBusy Beth!
ReplyDeleteThat blanket looks unending.
Your cat is too cute with the shoe fetish.
I've been dreaming of spring and gardens too!!! Your blanket looks great, and I admire your dedication to getting it done.
