The Socks.
The pattern is from Socks a la Carte Toes up, and you can sort of see the Star Toe pattern.
Yarn is Tofutsies.
And yes, I have big calves. All that jogging. No ankles, but I have no explanation for that.
And in other (good) news, Molly Cat's glaucoma has been successfully treated.
The first medicine by itself didn't work, so about 5 weeks ago we switched to a stronger option, and her eye pressures are both back to normal now (18). Even though I'm only treating one eye, they both have gotten better. The doctor said that is not unusual, but she couldn't explain why it happens.
Okay, I'm off to refresh my memory of how to knit the Swing Bohus ... that's all (hopefully) I will be blogging about till it's done!
Don't forget to stop by Tamis Amis for Finished Object Friday!
Yay, Molly Cat!!
ReplyDeleteand Yay Socks!!
Hooray for healthy cat!
ReplyDeleteLove those socks. Wowza! Good for you knitting long socks.
I love long socks. They take forever to knit, but they are worth it, mostly ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that your kitty is well!
ReplyDeleteYour socks are fantastic! I love the yarn too.
Love the socks, warm and cozy they look. Love that the poor mite is better. I can't imagine if something were wrong with my boys (mini goldendoodles).
ReplyDeleteChris, you wouldn't know she had glaucoma at all, I certainly didn't until the vet looked into her eyes with a whatchamacallit scope. She was and is just as feisty and crazy as ever. The only real pain is giving her 2 different eye drops 2x a day ... when I can catch her.
DeleteLovely socks! Congrats on the healthy kitty.
ReplyDeleteThe socks are awesome! Your putty looks very happy about the glaucoma situation.
ReplyDeleteGreat socks! I too, suffer from the calves affliction. Mine is a combination of "thanks daddy for giving me your Popeye legs" and running. Makes boot shopping depressing :(
ReplyDeleteYes, I've given up on boots unless they lace up. The zip never goes to the top otherwise!
DeleteThe socks are so pretty! First picture looks like you are ready to dance in your new socks.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you were not badly impacted by Sandy. The news and pictures from New York and New Jersey are indeed dreadful. A friend of mine in Princeton still has no power after four days, no idea how they feed and care for two little kids.
The socks look awesome! Congrats !
ReplyDeleteYour socks look great and I am glad the treatment worked for Molly
ReplyDeleteGood for cat! Great socks (you have true patience to make them long legged) and excellent knitting!
